The House previously passed the CR on September 24 by a vote of 370-58. The president is expected to sign the bill. The bill will ensure that programs and agencies under the Department of Health and Human Services (including the NIH) will be funded at FY 2008 levels through March 6, 2009. What this means for the NIH policy in practical terms is this: the NIH Public Access Language continues to remain intact.
